Name: Grant, William
DoB: 16/03/1886, Springburn

 

Working as a machine operator at Babcocks in Renfrew, William Grant came to Queen's Park at the relatively late age of 31, having previously played for Petershill and Renfrew Juniors, for whom he played in the Scottish Junior Cup Final of 1917. Before this William had joined the Scottish Rifles (Cameronians) at outbreak of World War One, however returned to civilian life when he was invalided out in 1916.
